Stardew barn door winter.
Apparently the animals don t like it if you leave it open during the rain or during winter.
Afaik it even negatively affects their mood if you leave the barn coop door open during winter 5.

They won t go outside during the winter even if it s not snowing so unless you want to chance them getting eaten by wolves i d say keep the doors closed.
Some animals expecially goats don t like the door to be open at night.
It s followed by spring and preceded by fall.
A better axe greatly improves your access to hardwood but the main goal should be to upgrade the watering can to steel or better.

Thanks but alas i m on windows xp which smapi doesn t support.
This makes fiber and hay more difficult to obtain fiber can still be found in the mines and mutant bug lair but hay must be purchased from marnie s ranch or grown from wheat in the greenhouse if unlocked.
Doors will not open in the winter or on rainy thunder stormy days by defualt this can be changed in the config file.
Winter is one of the most difficult seasons because all the grass and weeds on the farm die out.
What i m wondering is should i keep the doors shut during the winter time or does it not really effect the mood of the animals since i ve already got heaters in both.

Heck if you can swing it upgrade them and get some ducks sheep and pigs into the mix.
